From June 14th to 17th, on behalf of Madame Elizabeth Gateau, Secretary General of UCLG (United Cities and Local Governments), Ms. Emilia Saiz Carrancedo, Director of Constitutional Relations and Statutory Issues of UCLG World Secretariat led a delegation of 3 persons to pay a working visit to Guangzhou, and inspected Guangzhou’s preparation for the 2009 UCLG World Council Meeting to be held this November.

As the delegation visited the venues and hotels of the meeting, while listening to the preparation report of required facilities just as the simultaneous interpretation from Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office, the two sides reached quite a lot of consensus on the agenda, schedule, protocol requirements and logistics.
